The Ideal Family LLC 200 – Pocono Raceway
The AARN O’Reilly Series visited the Tricky Triangle for Race #10 of the season, and despite Pocono Raceway’s reputation for producing strategy battles and late-race chaos, Sunday’s event turned into one of the cleanest races of the year.
The race’s only caution flew within the opening five laps, briefly slowing the field and bunching everyone back together. Once the green flag returned, drivers settled into a long, uninterrupted run that lasted nearly the remainder of the 200-mile event. Tire conservation, fuel strategy, and maintaining track position became the deciding factors as the laps clicked away.
Wilzon Earns First Win of the Season
When the checkered flag finally waved after 80 laps, it was Matt Wilzon standing in Victory Lane.
Wilzon put together a nearly flawless performance, capturing his first victory of the season while also posting the fastest lap of the race and finishing with zero incidents.
