Accountability & Competition Standards

Understand how AARN reviews incidents, tracks clean-race progress and applies its competition rules.

A public guide—not a disciplinary case board.

The official season rulebook and formally issued rulings remain authoritative. This page explains the system; it does not publish private evidence, driver notes, appeals, payments or the staff briefing.

Active season

2026 AARN Cup Series Season

Cup Series Rulebook

AARN reviewed these configured values against the linked rulebook on 2026-10-19.

+1

Claimed at-fault

For a Race Control-recorded claimed incident. Serve any required EOL instruction under the season rules.

+3

Unclaimed at-fault

For an at-fault incident recorded as unclaimed after review.

−2

Clean-race reduction

After 2 qualifying clean races; active points cannot go below zero. Progress is finalized through Race Control’s workflow.

Configured penalty ladder

6 points

30-second hold within the first 3 laps of the next applicable race

8 points

1-race suspension

12 points

3-race suspension

15 points

Parked for the remainder of the series

A hypothetical points example

Starting from zero, one recorded unclaimed at-fault incident adds 3 points. After 2 qualifying clean races, the configured reduction would bring that total to 1, assuming no other entries or adjustments. This example does not issue or clear a penalty for any driver.

How the process works

01

Claim promptly

Follow your season’s race-radio claim deadline and Race Control instructions. A claim is not a website check-in and does not prevent review.

02

Review and record

Race Control reviews responsibility and records official incident entries. A caution or iRacing incident count alone does not automatically identify fault.

03

Serve the instructed action

Follow an EOL, hold, suspension or other formally issued instruction. Unserved carryover EOLs remain outstanding until staff record service through the existing workflow.

04

Finalize and ask questions

Race Control finalizes official event tracking and qualifying clean-race progress. Use the season rulebook’s review/appeal route; message Doug privately for help, not a public argument.

Common questions

Are these championship points or iRacing incidents?

No. Accountability points track AARN-recorded at-fault conduct and clean-race progress. Championship-point deductions and iRacing incident counts are different measures. Separate competition-integrity sanctions follow the applicable rulebook.

Does a ladder level mean the penalty is owed every race?

No. A current point level is awareness, not proof that another hold or suspension is due. Race Control confirms the applicable event, outstanding action and served status. Viewing this page never issues, repeats, forgives or marks a penalty served.

What about intentional wrecking, exploits or other misconduct?

These may be governed by separate competition-integrity provisions, independent of the at-fault ladder. Read the selected season’s rulebook for the actual offenses and sanctions. This page does not substitute another series’ or season’s sanctions.

Where can I see my own status?

Sign in to My AARN for your incident status and clean-race progress. Message Doug for an account link or clarification. Private staff notes and appeal discussions are not published here.

Do sponsors or team owners receive exceptions?

No sponsorship package grants competitive preference, eligibility exemptions or control over Race Control decisions.
